Kitty's Log, Snow Day #458
Snowpocalypse 2019 has gripped Seattle, and cabin fever has set in. I know some people can write with their children in the house, but for me it's spiritually impossible. I need a panic room within a nuclear bunker in order to concentrate, and even then I can STILL hear the theme song to Blippi seeping through three-foot concrete walls. So there is a lot of angst in these snow-filled days: angst about not writing, angst about not parenting, and angst about not cleaning enough, because how many crumbs can possibly exist in the world, AND HOW CAN THEY ALL BE ON MY FLOOR AT ONCE DESPITE MY CONSTANT VACUUMING? Where do they come from? What is my purpose? WHY MUST IT SNOW?! *clears throat* Right. Sorry about that. In non-snow-related news, my cover reveal tour starts February 11, and I'm stoked because I think my cover is gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous--a perfect marriage between Blanche Devereaux's bedroom and Barak Obama's presidential portrait. Which could also describe the book itself: on one hand it's a dreamy story about coworkers who start an affair in their sleep thanks to some funky pills, but on the flip side there are politics involved, especially when it comes to being a woman. If you're intrigued, head on over to the Authors Love Readers Valentine's Giveaway to get a free ebook before February 2016. It's definitely the kind of thing you need to coze up with if you are snowbound and stir crazy--or wanting to escape the winter blahs. Thanks for stopping by! More soon.
